Designing a greenfield multisite platform based upon Window Server and Client Operating Systems and the VMware / vSphere Hypervisor
Produce and maintain design artefacts
Document new procedures and review/update
Be the main point of contact for all platform related matters
Control Technical Services deployments through multiple product lifecycle environments, from development to test and reference, through to the critically important production systems
Share technical expertise, providing technical mentorship and cross-training to other peers and team members
Independently analyse, solve and correct issues; performing problem resolution end-to-end
Liaise with MoD departments and 3rd party suppliers in order to resolve issues relating to Technical Services
Provide regular updates to the Technical and project leadership regarding all aspects of the Platform Services delivery
Raise any issues, which may impact the delivery of the Database Services components
Lead and develop a team of technical experts, providing guidance, support, and mentorship
Collaborate with partners
Champion a positive and collaborative team culture and promote a habit of continuous improvement and innovation

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Validated experience as a Technical Team Lead, with a track record of successful project delivery
Deep technical skills, with expertise in software development, systems architecture
Excellent leadership and articulate, with the ability to manage and empower a team of technical experts
Solid project management
Skilled in the development and building of automated Window Server and Windows Based End User Devices, including applying Security hardening policies; using such products as Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT) and / or Microsoft EndPoint Configuration Manager (MECM); Window Server 2019 and Window 11 client operating systems
Skilled in the design and deployment of high availability VMware Based v7.x Virtual environments (ESXi and vCenter), including applying security hardening policies
Strong handson experience in designing and deploying Microsoft Active Directory domains, including Federation Services (ADFS) and Certificate Services
Understanding of PowerShell scripting
Skills in the deployment and management of Active Directory Group policies and applying NCSC baseline guidance policy sets
Experienced with Microsoft Event Management and Orchestration products
Used to working in MultiDatacentre Environments where availability, resilience and fault tolerance are key elements of every design
Conversant with automated deployment of Windows based virtual servers, using one or more of Microsoft tools such as MECM, MDT and PowerShell Desired State
