Job Responsibilities: 

1. Routine testing of samples as required.
2. Maintenance of records in accordance with ISO: 17025 including equipment, procedures etc.
3. Interpretation of results and notification of out of specification parameters.
4. Staff Training.
5. Maintaining GLP to ensure that hygiene and housekeeping standards are met.
6. Planning the daily workload of the Laboratory with reference to the Laboratory Manager as necessary.
7. Providing support to Technical Team.
8. Evaluating new methods and techniques that may be appropriate to the Business.
9. Establishing experimental protocols and evaluate/validate methods and systems.
10. Maintaining accreditation for current methods and assisting with accreditation of new methods.

Job Requirements: 

1. You must be educated A-Level or equivialent.
2. Have a recognised qualification in Chemistry.
3. Awareness of relevant Health and Safety requirements.
4. Experience within a scientific technical support role.
5. Ability to learn new and relevant skills.
6. Well organised and efficient.
7. Good IT skills, including LIMS, Microsoft packages.
8. Be self-motivated and driven.
9. Be able to work on your own or as part of a team.
10. Be able to communicate well at all levels.
