Quantity Surveyor

Job Responsibilities:
- Customer focused mindset.
- Work within an operational delivery team for your sites.
- Prepare Site Start Budgets for your sites.
- Collating and issuing of tender packs for sub-contract packages.
- Tender analysis and sub-contractor negotiations.
- Producing tender recommendations for sub-contract packages for director approval.
- Letting of sub-contract orders.
- Working closely with the project team to minimise variations.
- Subcontract payments and final accounting in accordance with subcontract terms.
- Contract administration.
- Completing bi-monthly CVRs
- Robust cost reporting and budget control.
- Attending site project team meetings.
- Commercial lead with clients, including issue and agreement of interim valuations, cash flow forecasts and adhering to all elements of the contract.
Job Requirements:

- HNC in Surveying or Construction or equivalent
- Experience of working within the Construction industry as a Quantity Surveyor.
- Excellent IT, analytical and communication skills
- Strong mathematical ability
- Ability to assess and analyse information
- Good business sense
- Good understanding of budget management
- Negotiating and networking skills
- Familiar with construction contracts, not limited to standard forms
- Able to work within a busy team and under pressure
- Accurate with an eye for detail
- Different methods of construction ie Timber Frame, Traditional Masonry, etc.
- COINS software experience
