Quantity Surveyor

Job Responsibilities: 

  1. Customer focused mindset.
  2. Work within an operational delivery team for your sites.
  3. Prepare Site Start Budgets for your sites.
  4. Collating and issuing of tender packs for sub-contract packages.
  5. Tender analysis and sub-contractor negotiations.
  6. Producing tender recommendations for sub-contract packages for director approval.
  7. Letting of sub-contract orders.
  8. Working closely with the project team to minimise variations.
  9. Subcontract payments and final accounting in accordance with subcontract terms.
  10. Contract administration.
  11. Completing bi-monthly CVRs
  12. Robust cost reporting and budget control.
  13. Attending site project team meetings.
  14. Commercial lead with clients, including issue and agreement of interim valuations, cash flow forecasts and adhering to all elements of the contract.

Job Requirements:

  2. HNC in Surveying or Construction or equivalent
  3. Experience of working within the Construction industry as a Quantity Surveyor.
  4. Excellent IT, analytical and communication skills
  5. Strong mathematical ability
  6. Ability to assess and analyse information
  7. Good business sense
  8. Good understanding of budget management
  9. Negotiating and networking skills
  10. Familiar with construction contracts, not limited to standard forms
  11. Able to work within a busy team and under pressure
  12. Accurate with an eye for detail
  13. Different methods of construction ie Timber Frame, Traditional Masonry, etc.
  14. COINS software experience
