Responsible for working with professional standard of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy.
Responsible for following research and evidence-based practice as they are introduced to the service implementing change as requested by registered physiotherapists.
Developing and maintaining their skills and knowledge as required according to the post holder’s grade and post. Also, to be responsible for all clinical responsibilities in all aspects in their own practice.
Observing and documenting a resident’s participation, reactions, and progress from therapy session. And they should be able to demonstrate high standard of report writing in English.
To escorting and planning of patients’ for out -patient appointments and ability to carry out basic nursing care (e.g. emptying urinary bag, feeding) during appointments.
Taking ownership for own time-management around the demands of therapists from a number of different disciplines, by maintaining an efficient diary, whilst ensuring effective delivery of day-to-day services.
Assisting the therapists with assessment and treatment of patients and, where appropriate, with patients’ continued management including implementation, supervision and progression of therapy interventions whilst under distant supervision from the therapist.
Undertaking delegated therapy tasks, which contribute to the safe and smooth running of the service (e.g. checking equipment and organising resources).
Requirements:
Educated to GCSE level or equivalent
Ability to effectively coordinate and prioritise workload
Good communication in English with excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to interact with a multi-disciplinary team
Ability to work efficiently under pressure
Excellent problem-solving skills as well as the ability to use own initiative
Creative with a genuine passion and enthusiasm for caring for vulnerable individuals
Previous experience of attending short courses related to therapy
