The IT Service Transition Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing the seamless transition of processes and technologies from Technology Simplification projects to be managed and maintained by the Business As Usual (BAU) teams. They play a critical role in ensuring that changes are executed efficiently and effectively, minimizing disruption and maximizing the benefits of the transition.
Job Responsibilities:
- Work closely with Project / Programme Managers to fully develop transition plans outlining objectives, timelines, resources, and milestones
- Ensure that Operational Excellence is achieved through robust Transition processes, delivering on key areas such as; Knowledge Transfer & Upskilling, KPIs, Performance Dashboards and quality Operating Procedures.
- Ensure that core projects activities are successfully transitioned to Business As Usual (BAU) owners
- Manage a smooth and timely exit for a large number of suppliers in line with the overall Transformation completion timescales
- Coordinate with relevant Lines of Businesses (LoBs) to align the transition plan with organisational goals
- Monitor progress and make necessary adjustments to the transition plans as challenges arise
- Create a risk assessment and mitigation plan to address potential issues
- Produce reports and documentation for stakeholders and leadership
- Collaborate with Change Management team to develop communication strategies to ensure all stakeholders are informed and engaged throughout the transition
- Provide guidance and support to individuals or teams during the transition, addressing their concerns and questions
- Assess the success of the transition by measuring key performance indicators (KPIs)
Requirements:
- Relevant experience in a similar role for a global organisation
- Good understanding of technology operating models and services which include offshore centres
- Ability to build plans, and ensure that deadlines are set, agreed and met – whilst working in a virtual environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast paced, busy and pressurised environment
- Confident, proactive, energetic with solid influencing skills
- Hybrid working with ability to travel to London, Birmingham and other regional offices
